Sülberg GmbH & Co. of Remscheid, Germany is the oldest
manufacturer of forged guards in the world, and SulbergUSA, Inc. is the only
manufacturer of Forged guards in the United States.Sulbergs forged guards are rugged enough
to perform under the most severe conditions of mechanized harvesting.They have been the preferred guards for use
on combines, windrowers, mower conditioners, mowers and other cutter bar
implements for many years. The are forged from high-grade case-hardening
steel and carbo-nitrided to obtain a cut and wear resistant surface for
better durability. Sulberg also produces guards for heavy duty service,
forged from high-grade alloy steel, normalized and thru-hardened.In either case, the cutting edges and the
wear bar will additionally be induction hardened for better cutting
properties and longer wear life. All Sulberg guards are warranted to be free
from defects caused by improper material and or faulty workmanship.
